1. Controller and contact
Elyra is an iPhone fitness app focused on nutrition, training, community, supplements, hydration, and progress tracking. For questions about this policy or your data, contact [email protected].
2. Data we may collect
Depending on your use of Elyra, we may process information needed for account creation, data sync, and the app's tracking screens.
- Account data: email address, user identifier, sign-in method, and information provided by Sign in with Apple when you use it.
- Profile data: display name, preferences, goals, and profile photo if you choose to add one.
- Nutrition data: foods added, quantities, calories, macros, meals, food searches, and scanned barcodes.
- Training data: exercises, saved workout plans, planned sessions, completed sessions, sets, loads, reps, and history.
- Community data: limited public profile, friends, published or imported workouts, interactions, and sharing settings.
- Supplement data: supplements added, intake entries, notes, and related information.
- Progress data: weight, measurements, goals, trends, and tracking markers.
- Hydration data: water goals and water intake entries.
- Support data: the content of messages sent to the support address.
- Limited technical data: information needed for security, stability, abuse prevention, or error diagnosis.
3. Why we use this data
- Create, authenticate, secure, and manage your Elyra account.
- Save, display, and sync your data between sessions.
- Calculate and show nutrition, training, hydration, supplement, and progress indicators.
- Enable community features, workout sharing, and imports when you use them.
- Personalize the experience based on your goals and preferences.
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot reported issues.
- Improve the reliability, performance, and overall quality of the app.
4. Cloud services and useful providers
Elyra may use Firebase and Firestore to manage authentication, storage, and data sync. These services allow the app to keep your information and retrieve it across sessions.
When you use nutrition search or barcode scan, the search term or scanned barcode may be sent from the app to Open Food Facts or USDA FoodData Central to retrieve matching food data. Elyra does not send your full food log or account profile to those services for this lookup.
5. Sign in with Apple
If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide Elyra with the information needed to sign you in, such as a user identifier and, depending on your choice, a real or relay email address. This information is used to authenticate you and manage your account.
6. Security and retention
We use reasonable measures to protect account access and stored data. No digital service can guarantee absolute security. Data is kept while your account is active or while it is needed for service operation, support, security, or legal obligations.
7. Ads, subscriptions, and AI
The current version described by this policy does not include active ads, an active subscription, or public AI features. If this changes, this page will be updated.
8. Your rights
Depending on your situation and applicable law, you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of certain processing, or more information about how your data is used. You can send requests to [email protected].
9. Account deletion
Elyra provides account deletion from inside the app. The steps are explained on the Delete account page. If you have trouble, contact support. Minimal retention may be required where law, security, or dispute resolution requires it.
10. Product changes
Elyra may evolve over time. New features that affect data processing will be reflected in this policy. The version published on this page is the current reference.
